Amanda Liske of Pauls Valley is one of the students named to the top honor roll at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.

A total of 626 students met the criteria to be named to the President’s Honor Roll for the fall 2018 semester.

To be eligible, students must have completed at least 12 hours of undergraduate classes with a 4.0 grade point average.


In other local school news, one spring book fair is already underway with another on the way soon.

Lee Elementary is hosting a book fair through Thursday, Feb. 14.

A family night at Lee is scheduled from after school through 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12.

A book fair at Jackson Elementary is set Feb. 20 through March 1. The school's family night in Feb. 20.


The 82nd annual Garvin County 4-H and FFA Invitational Junior Livestock Show is Feb. 25 to March 2 at the county fairgrounds in PV.

The hog show is on Tuesday, Feb. 25, while shows for cattle, goats and lambs are Thursday, Feb. 28.

A premium sale begins at 1 p.m. March 2.
