The Garvin County Cooperative Extension Service will soon offer a couple of opportunities for producers to receive updated information about the Farm Bill.

A Farm Bill Webinar is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start on Monday, Feb. 11 at the Nora Sparks Warren Memorial Library, 210 N. Willow, in Pauls Valley.

The webinar will also be presented at the annual Garvin County Cattle Producer Association’s annual meeting and banquet starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the Garvin County Fairgrounds in Pauls Valley.

Participants will learn about the changes to the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC), Price Loss Coverage (PLC) and commodity programs.

Topics also on the agenda include treatment of crop base on grassland, crop insurance, livestock programs and disaster assistance, conservation programs and industrial hemp provisions.

For those interested in attending the Feb. 11 webinar, note that space is limited.

Participants are encouraged to RSVP no later than Friday, Feb. 8. There is no fee to attend.

There is a charge of $25, which is an annual membership fee, to attend the meeting and banquet Feb. 19.

It includes the cost of the steak dinner provided at the meeting. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP no later than Feb. 12.
