The Pauls Valley United Fund is having a tasty fundraiser this weekend.
It's a barbecue dinner set for Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Garvin County Fairgrounds in PV. Doors are open from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The cost is $5 for a barbecue sandwich as the meat was smoked by the Wynnewood FFA. The meal includes chips, baked beans, mac and cheese, dessert and a drink.
There will also be silent and cake auctions.
There will be a drawing to announce the winner of the drive's raffle for the processed meat from a whole hog.
Proceeds raised by United Fund goes to benefit community groups all over Garvin County.
First United Bank in PV, 315 W. Grant, will present Arlen Williams with a free educational seminar to the public on Medicare at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the bank.
This interactive seminar will cover the basics of Medicare, including Medicare parts A, B, C and D.
