Legion effort keeps moving forward

Sign-ups continue this week as efforts are moving forward to bring back an American Legion post in Pauls Valley.

The next meeting is set for a 5 p.m. start on Thursday, April 11 at Nora Sparks Warren Memorial Library in PV, 200 N. Willow.

The meeting is meant to offer updated information on the application for a new post charter and help with assistance to veterans.

All veterans in the local area are invited and encouraged to attend.

Anyone unable to attend the meeting but wanting more information about the American Legion and the new post, contact District Commander Dale Haynes at 405-823-9051 or at email haynesfarm192@gmail.com.

An effort is also underway to get more members to join the American Legion Post No. 191 in Stratford.

The post is also holding a raffle meant to raise money to help seniors in the Stratford and Byars area.

Call Jim Korzan at 580-759-3066 or Jim Page at 580-759-2166 for more information.
