SEILING, Okla. — A 48-year-old Seiling man was killed early Friday morning in a motorcycle crash in Dewey County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting.

The crash occurred about 2:30 a.m. on Oklahoma 51, about 1.5 miles east of U.S 270, according to an OHP report.

Marty A. Gore was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner from a head injury sustained in the crash.

Gore was westbound on Oklahoma 51 on a 2008 Harley Davidson when he ran off the side of the road for an unknown reason, according to the report. Gore was thrown from the motorcycle and rolled an unknown amount of times before coming to rest in a ditch.

The report lists "DUI" as the cause of the collision and Gore's condition as "odor of alcohol." Gore was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
