Hello Panther Nation! I hope all is well with you and you are enjoying the end of another great summer in Pauls Valley! We are very excited with anticipation of your young people returning for another great year at Pauls Valley Public Schools!
We are very excited about our new technology in our classrooms. We will have supplementary usage of iPads starting in kindergarten and continuing through various grades. We will have a Chromebook for each student at Lee Elementary in sixth grade. We are very excited about integrating this technology into our teaching practices!
We again are seeing increased enrollment at all levels. As I am writing this article, we have enrolled over 30 new students at Lee Elementary.
With enrollment being just yesterday, we will certainly see an increase at all sites. State funding is based on student enrollment so this will continue to help us secure more state funding.
We have a new website! The new site will be able to offer several new features.
One new feature is the calendar alert messaging. You can go to paulsvalleyschools.com and subscribe to receive calendar alerts about daily activities and events taking place in our school system.
Also I would like to remind you that all students participating in any extra-curricular activities will need to make sure they return all four forms to their school office.
The forms include, OSSAA Parental Consent/Physical, Concussion and Head Injury Acknowledgement, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Acknowledgement and the district Random Drug Testing Consent.
All forms must be turned in before a student is allowed to participate.
Finally, we are finalizing designs on the bond projects. We will be receiving the money at the end of the month. Once we secure the funds, we will be able to close on the land for the new elementary school.
The elementary project will begin first with the other projects soon after. All projects will eventually be under construction at the same time.
We anticipate ground breaking for the new elementary sometime this fall with an estimated completion in the fall of 2020. This is a very exciting time for our community!
A huge thank you to the “Love PV” group for raising the money to buy all school supplies for our districts!
We have had many positive comments from parents as to how big of a blessing this is to their family! This not only sends a positive message to our current community members but to those new to the district as well!
We are ready and we are excited for another great year! I challenge all parents to get involved in the education of your child and make a difference!
Working together we will continue to strive to make Pauls Valley Public Schools “The Place To Be.”
Please call or stop by at your convenience!
