As we reflect on this year, we have accomplished a great deal. We are proud of all of our students for their academic efforts, accomplishments, and their social and personal growth.
We expanded our extracurricular programs, and our sixth grade athletic basketball and track teams had a great inaugural year.
Fifth and sixth grade band students participated in the Christmas Band Concert, and last week they competed and brought home several awards. Our choirs provided us with two outstanding programs, one in the fall and one this spring.
Overall, it has been an awesome year!
This week marks the end of our spring Oklahoma School Testing Program, and students worked hard to do their best.
Fourth and sixth grade students tested in reading and mathematics, fifth grade tested in reading, mathematics, and science.
To encourage our students, some of our teachers spent extra time on the weekend prior to testing to decorate our entrance hallway with a circus big top, balloons, and a sign that read, “Do your best and you’ll soar,” and teachers and staff members wore shirts on testing days that read, “Work your hardest, do your best, but always remember you’re more than a test.”
As always, the end of the year is packed with numerous activities.
Our annual Lee track meet will be held May 1, class trips begin next week, End of the Year picnic/swimming parties are planned for May 6-8, Reading Counts parties will be May 9, Lee awards assemblies will be May 14 with sixth grade awards at 9 a.m., fifth grade awards at 10 a.m., and fourth grade awards at 11 a.m.
School dismisses for summer break May 16.
We are PROUD of our students and wish to thank all of them for a FANTASTIC year!
We extend a huge thank you to our parents, Panther Side Kicks, and the community for partnering with us to help our students grow and achieve at Lee.
