Paoli School Superintendent

It’s time to thank all the students, parents, Paoli School supporters, and all of the Paoli School employees for a wonderful 2018.

Much has been accomplished and there is much more to look forward to in the new year!

Paoli School is in the process of passing a bond issue that will be voted on in February.

If the bond passes it will provide $100,000 to purchase new books and educational materials district wide, $50,000 to purchase a 15-passenger activity van than can be driven without a CDL (anyone can drive), $50,000 to purchase land for expansion and expansion improvements, $50,000 for new exterior and security doors districtwide and $50,000 for new technology/computers.

This bond will total $300,000 and will not raise taxes.

On another note Paoli School’s Academic Team’s conference record was 10-13.

The Pugs placed second in the District Tournament and third in the Regional Tournament. The Pugs also attended the Area Tournament on January 12.

The Paoli Academic Team members are Raymond Finley, Andrew Finley, Connor Crawford, Carson Bryant, JunHo Yi, Camden Smith, Gunner Manning, KayeLee Reece, Morgan Lackey, Faith Norman, Brylee Abney and Madison McGuire.

They're sponsored by teacher Randy Shackleford.

The Paoli cheerleaders attended the OSSAA State Competition for the first time this year and had a ball.

Paoli’s High School cheer squad consist of 14 cheerleaders that do a fantastic job of providing school spirit and representation for Paoli School. I expect to see many awards and accomplishments from our cheer program in the years to come.

I have also received several grants for Paoli School this year.

I recently received a grant award notification to replace and/or update the schools emergency equipment and emergency exit lights throughout the school district.

I have also applied for an Artist-In-Residence Teacher grant so that we may be able to provide some sort of visual and/or performing art class to our students during the 2019-2020 school year.

We are still working on renovating our softball field by adding new dugouts for the spring softball season. Soon we will continue to renovate another locker room with new paint and lockers.

There are great things happening at Paoli School and I am looking forward to see what great things are to come.

Thank you and have a wonderful new year!
